Anyone care for a bun?
The tradition in this part of the world, when someone dies, is that visitors to the house bring some baked goods or the like. I suppose it's to help out with the mammoth catering task with cups of tea & so on in the days before the funeral.
Well, our friends have been outstanding in this regard since Ali's dad passed away yesterday & this is only a fraction of what has been brought! We have been blessed with amazing friends.
Thank you, one & all.

Which way's up?
The interesting bit about this photo is that the camera phone obviously recognised there were faces but the wrong way up. So it inverted the picture :-) (-:

What would you give for this?
I park beside this little building every day. It used to be a shop but has been closed for many months. Today the sold sign went up. The site comprises only the small buildings you see, not the car park. It extends to 0.1 acres, a little less than 5,000 square feet.
What am I bid for this tiny site, without any planning permission, in a back street several blocks off Belfast's city centre?

Back from the printers
If you're about Shaws Bridge tomorrow, why not drop in and enjoy some quality rugby. Over 500 players aged 9-12 will be competing between 10 & 2.
These programmes are sold in aid of our two chosen charities. Even if you can't come along, please have a look online at Burkina Development Partnership and Shelter Box. Thank you.

In memory
This is an unofficial memorial that appeared at the gates of Belfast's City Hall over the weekend in memory of the Polish president, his wife & the 94 others who died with them in a plane crash in Russia last Friday.
It's also a tangible sign of how Northern Ireland is changing. A few years ago, there would not have been such a memorial. There wouldn't have been a Polish community to create it.
Belfast is becoming more and more multi-cultural and, for my money, that can only be a good thing.
