All Ireland Finalist
It's not every day you can say you know someone on the telly. This is my colleague Orlaith playing for Louth in today's All-Ireland Junior Gaelic Football final.
Unfortunately, her team lost :-(

I've walked past this countless times...
but never realised it was there.
The Belfast coat of arms on the fence outside city hall. I suppose that's an obvious place for it, but I've just never noticed it before.

Thank you...
to all our friends & neighbours who came along yesterday (or sent coffee) and contributed to the amazing total of £409 for this worthwhile cause.
If you didn't make it and are still interested, the main event is this Friday right across the country. More details at coffee.macmillan.org.uk

First autograph
Ulster's new signing, Ruan Pienaar, arrived during the week & was at his first match tonight. The autograph hunters tracked him down after the match.

Famous family
My sister in law & brother in law about to welcome my twin niece & nephew into the world.
Eight months and one day ago today.
We got to share in this wonderful experience, along with everyone else watching BBC1, thanks to the team making the documentary "special deliveries" that aired tonight.

Memories
The 1stXV from my old school (and my son's new school) were playing at home this morning. It's a VERY long time since I watched a match on this pitch.
My niece goes to the other school, so my son took great delight in texting his cousin the result. I'm not so sure that would have happened if "we" hadn't won.
In any case, it was a great match & both sides played well. The memories came flooding back.

Streets ahead
Many months of road works are underway in one of Belfast's main shopping streets. At least they're trying to make them look pretty with flower boxes.
