Where next?

So. That's 2010 over then. Here goes 2011.
No more daily photo blog, but I'm sure our paths will cross in cyberspace again.
Sincere good wishes for the new year and all that it may bring your way.

Early or late?

We got four Christmas cards in the post this morning. No doubt part of the backlog caused by the snow before Christmas.
It's hard to believe there's only one more picture to go.

Luxury

Thanks to the huge number of burst water pipes after the recent freeze, large areas of Northern Ireland have had their water supply turned off to allow the water utility to redistribute between reservoirs. Today we were without water for 12 hours but, as you can see, it's back. For now.

Victim of the freeze.

That key really shouldn't be able to fit into the top of the water heater :-(

Working off the turkey

I only shot video today. So to allow me to post a "photo" of the day I had to test my ingenuity. This a freeze frame, shot off the TV on my old N86.

What it's all about.

Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.
Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.
This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.

She ain't heavy, she's my sister

A little brotherly love is called for to help spread the reindeer food before bedtime.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Secret Santa

Thankfully, they were allocated at random so I don't need to worry that I'm being sent a not-so-subtle message about my personal hygeine.

An oasis of lunchtime calm

One of the benefits of working in the city centre is the ability to take an hour out to attend one of the Ulster Orchestra's lunchtime recitals. They happen once every couple of months & only cost a fiver. Money well spent, in my book.

Carols by candle-light

Thanks for the invite, Elizabeth. I really enjoyed the service.

Murder mystery

It was quite good fun, until my character was framed for the murder by the actual murderer & a crooked cop.

Students protesting against the education reforms blocked one of Belfast's main streets for a couple of hours this afternoon.

Up on the roof

of the car park. I was out today & when I came back the car park was full of Christmas shoppers. Had to park on level 13 - unlucky for some, especially when you have to climb all those stairs to retrieve the car at the end of the day.
